Make A Complaint
We are here to ensure you receive quality dietetic care. If you feel that a dietitian has engaged in poor practice, inappropriate or unprofessional behaviour, has not met their practice standards or code of ethics, or is a risk to the public, then you may have grounds to file a complaint with the NSCDN.
HOW TO MAKE A COMPLAINT
A complaint made to the NSCDN should be in writing, on visual or audio tape, or on any other recorded format. It should identify specific dietitian(s) by name and specific action(s), conduct or behavior. It should also be signed by the person laying the complaint. Please send your complaint to the executive manager of the NSCDN.
Note that a copy of the complaint will be given to the dietitian who is being complained about. While NSCDN maintains confidentiality with regards to complaints, information gathered during the investigation will be provided to the dietitian or their representative for the purpose of responding to the complaint.
The NSCDN will investigate complaints. Responding to complaints is one of the ways that the NSCDN fulfills its mandate of protecting the public.
